Agua Mágica is an artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, made the traditional way by a family of mezcaleros in San Juan del Río. The name means “magic water,” and the brand was created to bring a refined, sippable mezcal to a wider audience without abandoning the ancestral methods that give the spirit its soul.
The agave hearts are roasted in underground earthen pits, fermented naturally with wild yeasts, and distilled in copper pot stills. The result is a mezcal with enchanting aromas of smoky agave and earth, a harmonious palate of herbal, fruity, and smoky notes with citrus, tropical fruit, and a subtle undercurrent of black pepper, and a lingering smoky finish at 40% ABV. Sip it neat from a copita with orange and sal de gusano, or use it for an elegant mezcal Negroni or Paloma. This 750 ml bottle is a beautiful gift.
