BB&R Exceptional Cask Blended Malt 44YearOld distilled in 1979 is a rare Scottish blendedmalt whisky bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd at caskstrength 52.6% ABV with a 700ml volume. It consists of selected singlemalt whiskies matured for 44 long years after distillation in 1979. The nose delivers dried figs, old honey, darkfruit compote, polished oak and subtle leather notes. On the palate rich driedfruits, darkchocolate, gentle spices and nutty oak unfold elegantly without harshness. It has an exceptionally long finish with lingering fruit sweetness and mellow woody tones. This ultraaged limitedrelease whisky is best enjoyed neat to appreciate its profound complexity.
