Jeb Dunnuck ReviewRated 97Planted in 2005 with 22 different soil types, La Spirale is an undulating hilly vineyard with a slight western exposure. Once called the Redmond Vineyard, it’s always the last vineyard that they pick. The 2022 Pinot Noir La Spirale Vineyard is a jeweled ruby color, and the nose leads with notes of candied roses, sweet herbs, wild raspberries, delicate spice, and incense. Very pure all the way through, it’s crystalline, with well-defined, ripe tannins, an even a spine of acidity, and again, that salty note on the front of the palate. A fantastic red, it’s going to age with ease over the next 15 years. Drinking Window 2024-2039.
