Pascual Larrieta Asun Viura is an absolutely stunning white Rioja made from 100% Viura by the husband and wife team at Pascual Larrieta. Pure ripe fruit, complex with lovely texture. Fine and elegant, understated with perfect balance. The winery is located in Samaniego, which sits at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa. Most of the inhabitants of this village are engaged in winemaking. The winery’s 15 ha of vineyards, with an average age of 50, benefit from the marl soil present in this area, which is ideal for winegrowing. Bodegas Pascual Larrieta has remained faithful to the region’s traditional processing methods while applying technologies such as the pneumatic winepress and stainless steel tanks to its processes.
