Part of Bruichladdich’s pioneering Barley Provenance Series, The Organic 2011 is a forthright and transparent expression of organically grown Scottish barley. Distilled in 2011 using 100% barley from Mid Coul Farm in Inverness—cultivated without artificial fertilisers or pesticides—this unpeated single malt highlights how farming practices shape flavour long before maturation begins.
Slowly distilled in Bruichladdich’s tall, narrow-necked stills to preserve purity and elegance, the spirit matured for 11 years to develop richness and balance while allowing the character of the barley to shine. The result is a whisky that is creamy, vibrant, and terroir-driven, offering clarity of flavour and a luxurious mouthfeel. It stands as a thoughtful exploration of sustainability, provenance, and craftsmanship from field to glass.
