Bulleit Rye 10 Year Old takes the same 95% rye, 5% malted barley mashbill as the classic Bulleit 95 Rye and ages it a minimum of ten years, then bottles it at 45.6% ABV (91.2 proof). Bulleit describes pear-like fruitiness, dry buttery oak and subtle spice, best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
Drinkhacker rated it an A (9.5/10) and called it “a solid sipping rye” at an impressive price, describing the fresh herbal hallmarks of the young rye restrained by age into dark toffee, chocolate and caramel, a palate of jackfruit and dill turning to cinnamon and clove, and a finish of mint, cherry and vanilla taffy. A decade-old rye at this price is rare, and it makes a Manhattan or a Sazerac with real depth.
