A relatively elegant, even perfumed, and decidedly airy and cool nose offers up mostly secondary notes of dried flowers, pungent earth and spice-infused wild red currant aromas. The gorgeously textured, vibrant and beautifully detailed flavors conclude in a dusty, youthfully austere and slightly chewy finish where a touch of bitter pit fruit character emerges. The balance isn’t perfect and this risks drying out in time but the nose is positively dazzling. I would add that while there is no benefit to holding this further, neither is there any rush to drink up.
