A subtle though still perceptible application of wood frames brooding but elegant, fresh, pure and ripe aromas of various dark berries, cassis, violet and pretty spice nuances. The rich, powerful and impressively concentrated broad-shouldered flavors coat the palate while offering excellent persistence and superb depth on the ever-so-mildly warm finale. This youthfully austere, robust and palate staining effort will definitely need at least a decade to unwind and should ultimately repay two. Magnificent though a very firmly structured wine to hide and forget in the back of a cool cellar.
