Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Clos L’Eglise explodes with baked plums, boysenberry preserves, and black cherry compote notes, leading to suggestions of menthol, mocha, star anise, and incense. Big, rich, and full-bodied on the palate, it has firm, ripe, rounded tannins and beautiful freshness, finishing very long and spicy.
