Dame Más was created by two Mexican immigrants from Guadalajara who built the brand after settling in the United States, and the name — “give me more” — is exactly the reaction they were after. This 200ml is the same tequila as the full-size bottle in a smaller format, which makes it the easiest way to try a brand that usually asks for a serious commitment, and a natural gift or stocking-stuffer size. It’s made at NOM 1551 from 100% Blue Weber agave grown pesticide-free and harvested at a minimum of eight years, slow-cooked in traditional mamposteria brick ovens, then twice distilled and twice filtered for smoothness. The reposado rests 11 months in French white oak barrels that previously held fine cognac — the cask signature that runs through the entire Dame Más range and gives the tequila its sweetness without additives doing the work. Bottled at 40% ABV. Expect deep oak balanced against fruit and vanilla, a delicate, subtly sweet palate with honey notes, and a lingering hazelnut-and-vanilla finish. Comparisons to Clase Azul come up constantly — this is the low-risk way to decide for yourself.
