A single-estate, single-vintage release from La Collection Unique, sourced from Château de Lahitte in Courrensan, Bas-Armagnac — a 25-hectare estate of the de Lamothe family, whose boulbènes soils sit at the edge of the tawny sands of Bas-Armagnac near the limestone of Ténarèze, giving rich, complex armagnac with long aging potential. Distilled continuously and matured in a dedicated regional French oak cask for 39 years before bottling in October 2020 — no blending of domains or vintages, no reduction, preserving the full specificity of terroir and vintage.
Color: Golden with red tints.
Nose: Very seductive — candied fruits, chocolate, brown tobacco, and licorice.
Palate: Rich and complex — orange peel, prune, cinnamon, and pepper, with very delicate tannins.
Finish: Very long.
ABV: 46% (92 Proof)
