From Dartigalongue & Fils of Nogaro — established 1838 and one of the oldest houses in Armagnac — this Hors d’Age Bas-Armagnac is a blend of multiple vintage eaux-de-vie selected for complementarity, with the youngest component aged a minimum of 10 years in traditional Gascon oak barrels (often significantly older).
Color: Deep amber.
Nose: Vanilla, prunes, and toasted oak, with hints of yellow-fleshed fruits, baked apple, and butter.
Palate: Smooth and well-balanced — vibrant and generous, with notes of fruit, spice, dark chocolate, and espresso.
Finish: Long, fat, and silky with dark chocolate, espresso, and spicy notes.
