Dinastía Real is produced at Tequila Selecto de Amatitán, NOM 1459, in Amatitán, Jalisco, a lowland distillery in the Tequila valley whose brand dates its origins to 1942. The Master Premium Ball is the presentation the brand is known for: a handmade spherical ceramic decanter, glazed and finished by artisans, sold as a display piece as much as a bottle of tequila. This is the unaged expression, a 100% blue Weber agave blanco bottled at 40% ABV, and it is the one to choose if you want the ceramic ball without the two to five years of French white oak that shape the brand’s añejo and extra añejo. As a blanco it shows the cooked lowland agave without barrel influence, so it works chilled, over ice, or in a margarita or Paloma poured from something more memorable than a standard glass bottle. Once it is empty the ceramic ball is meant to be kept and refilled as a decanter, which is why these show up as wedding, birthday and housewarming gifts far more often than a typical blanco.
