The fresh essence of red currant, newly turned earth and a whiff of the sauvage are trimmed in all but imperceptible wood. The palate impression of the supple and ever-so-slightly denser flavors is more interesting with its more voluminous and powerful finish that displays the classic young Nuits characteristics of rusticity and light austerity. This too could be enjoyed young or held for a few years in the hopes that better depth will develop.
