The 2022 Chablis Moutonne Grand Cru has a hefty reduction on the nose that detracts from its sense of place and personality. I think there is a good Chablis here, but it definitely requires time. The palate is well balanced with a cohesive opening, creamy oak a little too vocal at the moment, although that should integrate with time. Perhaps this is a bit of a “work in progress”—it is difficult seeing the trajectory at the moment. Bottled under Diam 30. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
