Drakes Brewing 1500 Pale Ale rises from San Leandro, crafted as a milestone batch that turned into a flagship favorite. Built on a simple base of Two Row and Crystal 35 malt, it lets its generous hop blend shine, weaving Mandarina, Lemondrop, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Cascade into a rush of orange blossom, grapefruit, and light pine. The yeast from Berkeley adds a clean fermentation profile that keeps every note bright and effortless.
At 5.5 percent ABV with a smooth 48 IBU, it drinks crisp and expressive, carrying a touch of honeyed malt that softens the citrus edge. Best enjoyed cold from the can or poured into a chilled pint, it pairs beautifully with wood-fired pepperoni pizza, a gorgonzola-topped burger, or classic fish and chips kissed with lemon and malt vinegar. A modern pale ale made for easy sipping and everyday moments.
