Elements of Islay Beach Bonfire is a limited-edition blended malt from independent bottler Elixir Distillers, made from two characterful Islay distilleries. The head blender took inspiration from a bonfire on an Islay beach, the colors, the heady smoke, the collision of flame and sand, and built a whisky to match, marrying malt matured in new oak, bourbon, refill and sherry casks.
Bottled at 109 proof (54.5% ABV), non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, in a 700mL bottle, it is a powerful Islay malt with a rich, herbaceous flavor wrapped in bonfire-ember smoke: charred wood, sea salt and dried herbs on the nose, then sweet malt, dark fruit and toasted spice under a thick blanket of smoke, finishing long with sweet spice and lingering embers.
