Fassbind Les Vieilles Barriques Pear is a 750ml barrel-aged Swiss pear brandy from Fassbind, Switzerland’s oldest distillery, founded in 1846 in Oberarth. Ripe, aromatic Williams pears from the Canton of Valais are distilled, rested for at least two years in stainless steel and then aged 14 to 18 months in oak barrels.
The spirit is finished with Fassbind’s house-made Bonificateur, giving it a rich golden color, an intense baked-pear aroma, gentle sweetness and a soft almond note on the finish. Sip it neat at room temperature after dinner, or use it in cocktails where you want pear with a touch of oak.
