A top-quality rum from Nicaraguan producer Flor de Caa. This is a fine sipping rum, with flavours of toffee apple and buttery vanilla. Hints of buttery toffee and cinnamon open the nose, developing notes of black pepper, gingerbread and allspice; the palate offers rich cooked apple and allspice with hints of nutmeg, honey and toffee brittle, finishing long and decadent on toffee and custard.
The Flor de Caa distillery is certified carbon neutral and fair trade, running on 100% renewable energy and offsetting emissions by planting roughly 50,000 trees a year since 2005 a rare commitment for a rum this rich and indulgent.
