Composed of predominately Cariñena with a small portion of Monastrell and produced solely with pressed whole clusters, the 2023 Old Vine Pale is on a short list of stunning rosés I tasted from Chile. A savory, exotic bouquet of apple skin, tangerine, white cherries and wild herbs leads to an oily yet delicate, precise and focused palate. It closes with a mouthwatering, complete nature that most rosés lack; I imagine it will drink quite well beyond what most readers reasonably expect from the style.
