This version of Grand Marnier uses rare Cognac reserves aged up to 50 years. Here, the flavor and scent are closer to Cognac than orange liqueur. Look for a rich topaz color, with heady dried fruit notes as well as a clear hit of juicy orange fruit. It’s mellow, mouthwatering, and it seems a shame to mix it, though it’s been spotted at some restaurants in “ultrapremium margaritas.”
