James Gin London Drizzle (JG.04) is James May’s take on a traditional juniper-forward London gin, with a twist that captures the smell of rain on warm pavement: beetroot and smoked salt join the classic botanicals. It is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) and is the most conventional gin in the James Gin range, which is not saying a great deal.
Drinkhacker rated it a B+, noting it drinks sweeter on the palate than the nose suggests, with lingering rosemary and ginger, and the longest finish of the lineup, carrying vanilla and milk chocolate overtones.
