Ketel One Vodka: A Legacy of Dutch Craftsmanship and Unrivaled Smoothness
Discover the exceptional purity and distinguished taste of Ketel One Vodka, a super-premium spirit crafted with over 300 years of family distilling expertise by the Nolet family in Schiedam, Netherlands. Renowned worldwide for its crisp flavor and silky-smooth finish, Ketel One is a favorite among bartenders and connoisseurs alike, setting the standard for quality in the vodka category.
Ketel One Vodka is meticulously produced from 100% non-GMO European wheat, carefully selected for its high starch content and ability to yield a pure, neutral spirit. The production process blends traditional and modern techniques: a portion of the wheat spirit is column-distilled to create a clean base. A significant portion of this spirit is then re-distilled in small batches in copper pot stills, including the original coal-fired “Distilleerketel 1” (Pot Still Number 1), from which the vodka gets its name. During this pot still distillation, the “heads” and “tails” are discarded, retaining only the finest “hearts” of the distillate. These individually filtered pot still hearts are then blended with the ultra-wheat spirit and pure water, a marrying process meticulously overseen by a member of the Nolet family to ensure consistent quality and taste. Filtered over loose charcoal and resting in tile-lined tanks, Ketel One delivers a refined and sophisticated experience. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 Proof), it’s a testament to the Nolet family’s unwavering commitment to making an truly exceptional vodka.
