It is named after the distillery’s original coal-fired copper pot still, Distilleerketel 1, and that still is part of the process today. Ketel One starts with 100% non-GMO European wheat distilled in modern column stills, then a portion is redistilled in small copper pot stills and blended back in, giving the vodka more texture than most column-only spirits.
