La Maison & Velier Flag Series Jamaica 2015 Rum is a single-origin Jamaican rum distilled in 2015 and bottled at 60.4% ABV in a 700mL bottle. Jamaica is the home of high-ester, funky pot-still rum, and this release shows it in full: overripe banana, pineapple, olive brine, and varnish on the nose, with a rich, weighty palate of tropical fruit, molasses, and spice that finishes long and intense.
The Flag Series from La Maison & Velier, the partnership between La Maison du Whisky and the legendary Italian bottler Velier, showcases exceptional casks from rum-producing countries around the world. The Jamaica bottling is the funkiest of the set and a serious pour for tiki enthusiasts and rum collectors.
