Loch Lomond Original is the entry-level single malt from one of Scotland’s most versatile distilleries, sitting on the banks of the famous loch at Alexandria, where a unique combination of traditional swan-neck stills and straight-neck stills lets the family-owned Loch Lomond Group make a wide range of spirit styles under one roof. The distillery is best known in America as the official spirit of The Open golf championship.
Carefully matured and married in fine oak casks, then bottled at 80 proof, Original is elegant and full-bodied with a smoothness that makes it exceptionally easy to drink: orchard fruit, honey and cereal on the nose, then a soft, malty palate with vanilla and gentle oak, finishing with the distinctive hint of peat and smoke found in all Loch Lomond whiskies. One of the most affordable single malts on the shelf and a smart house pour.
