Matsui Umeshu Brandy Liqueur is a 750ml Japanese plum liqueur from the Matsui Shuzo distillery in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture, the makers of Kurayoshi and Tottori whiskies. It takes the tradition of umeshu, the beloved Japanese plum liqueur, and builds it on a base of smooth brandy rather than neutral spirit.
The natural sweetness and tartness of ripe Japanese ume plums are complemented by the subtle warmth, vanilla and dried-fruit depth of brandy. Serve it chilled, over ice, topped with soda, or warm on a cold night.
