It is single pot still whiskey from Midleton Distillery aged at least twelve years in three cask types, ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-Málaga wine casks, and bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) without chill filtration.
The nose shows mown hay, cracked black pepper, nutmeg, clove oil and green tea, with sweet honey and peach from the Málaga casks. On the palate, pot still spice, honey and red apple meet crème brûlée, fresh coffee and toasted oak. The finish is sophisticated and long, with a distinctive honeyed character and a mix of red grape and dry barley.
