Port Askaig Cask Strength Small Batch 01-2023 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Volume: 700ml ABV: 59.4% Age: No Age Statement Country: Scotland
The Port Askaig range is brought to us by Specialty Drinks Limited who are responsible for the Elements of Islay independently bottled range. The single malt is produced at an undisclosed distillery however there is plenty of discussion that this is whisky from Caol Ila distillery on Islay.
Using no more than 60 casks for each batch. Each cask is selected for the notes it brings to the whisky. Each batch has a unique code and shows the cask breakdown which enables the recipient, each year, to contrast, compare and explore the different notes that the wood and blending brings to this Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. 01-2023 uses the cask selection to create layers of sweetness, zest intertwined with the classic smoke of Islay.
