Made at Midleton Distillery from malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled, it is aged twelve years predominantly in first-fill bourbon barrels with a small portion of Oloroso sherry casks, and bottled non-chill filtered at 46% ABV (92 proof).
It is the big, robust style of pot still whiskey: honey, vanilla and spiced fruit on the nose, a velvety, full palate of toffee, leather, dark chocolate and peppery spice, and a long finish with a hint of oak.
