This sleek Barolo reflects the “elegance” common to the La Morra district, but it has plenty of compact power and a darker-toned aromatic profile. It maintains a harmonious balance of succulence and dry woodsiness, finishing with long-grained, softly embracing tannins that pleasntly close up the finish. This is enjoyable now, preferably with a couple of hours in the decanter, but will unwind with several more years of age.
“The 2021 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is done in a delicate, restrained style that emphasizes aromatics. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, chalk and cedar are very nicely lifted. This nervy, vibrant Barolo has a lot to offer. ” -Antonio Galloni, VINOUS
