The Ventaglio 2016 from Tenuta Argentiera is a rare and prestigious single-vineyard wine that perfectly embodies the harmony of Cabernet Franc and the exceptional terroir of Bolgheri. Crafted only in outstanding vintages and in limited quantities, this wine is a bold yet refined expression of varietal purity, meticulous vineyard care, and sophisticated cellar techniques.
“Ventaglio,” which means “fan” in Italian, takes its name from the unique layout of the vineyard: a 1.5-hectare amphitheater arranged in a fan shape around a centuries-old holm oak tree. This singular plot, with its multiple sun exposures and complex soil composition, allows for the production of a wine of remarkable depth, elegance, and individuality.
