The Dunbrody Irish Whiskey Caribbean Rum Cask is an Irish whiskey finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum, a process that layers tropical sweetness onto the whiskey’s traditional Irish character. Produced in Ireland, this expression takes its name from the Dunbrody, the famine ship that carried Irish emigrants across the Atlantic, tying the whiskey’s rum-cask finish to that historic transatlantic route.
The rum cask finish brings forward notes of toffee and tropical fruit alongside the smooth, approachable base of Irish whiskey, with a gentle warmth and a rounded, slightly sweet finish that reflects the influence of the rum wood.
The Dunbrody’s distinctive story and finishing style make it a worthwhile addition to any Irish whiskey collection, and it pairs well alongside other cask-finished expressions and rum offerings in our lineup at Liquor Geeks. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
