Thresh & Winnow Limited Release Single Cask 8 Year Malt Whiskey is an American single malt drawn from one cask and bottled at 100 proof after eight years in oak. The name refers to the traditional grain-cleaning steps of threshing and winnowing, and the whiskey is made from the heart cut of the distillation run for a cleaner, purer spirit.
The nose is malted barley, honey and dried fruit. The palate is smooth with caramel, toffee and delicate spice, and the finish is long and warm with oak and lingering sweetness. This is a sipping whiskey; serve it neat or with a drop of water and give it time in the glass.
As a single-cask limited release, each bottle is part of a small run that will not be repeated. This 750ml bottle is for American single malt collectors and anyone curious about the category.
