TORRE DEL CONDE DE HERVIAS 2015 RIOJA

The second label of Conde de Hervías, the Torre del Conde de Hervías is only made in the years when the flagship Conde de Hervías is not made. Sourced from low-yielding vineyards and aged in both French and American oak, this is a modern yet classically styled Rioja.
Intense red with aromas of tobacco, vanilla and truffle. A smooth start leads to a surprising forcefulness on the palate. The wine exhibits an incredible synergy of alcohol, acidity and tannins characteristic of the village of Torremontalvo.

DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARD 96 POINTS – “Classy offering with a no-expense spared approach. Discreet oak with layers of ripe fruit, alcoholic power, well-managed, sandy-grained tannins. Powerful, impressive, modern and not like a traditional Rioja at all.”
