Giuseppe Rinaldi Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 750ml

The Giuseppe Rinaldi 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo offers an early look at a vintage shaped by persistent rain and painstaking vineyard work. Frequent spring rainfall brought intense pressure from both downy and powdery mildew, while late September rains left Nebbiolo especially vulnerable to botrytis, requiring rigorous selection in the vineyard. The wine blends fruit from a young leased parcel in Bussia, farmed since 2019, with declassified fruit from old-vine Ravera and a second, younger Ravera vineyard. Aged for 18 months in large oak casks before bottling in mid-February, it delivers a lighter, more lifted expression with high-toned aromas and a punchy, energetic personality. The fruit is beautifully transparent, and although it lacks some mid-palate depth, the wine compensates with freshness and plenty of youthful charm.
